Music Teacher (Beginning-Intermediate Piano, Beginning Voice Teacher)

Grace Mita

Grace is a violist on her journey to teaching music full time, studying Creative Arts Enterprise with a Music Concentration at Fitchburg State University. She performs in FSU’s Chamber Choir and Modern Jazz Band, as well as with the Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra. At FSU, she is the President of Fitchburg State Choirs student organization, and former President of Falcon Bands. She has been singing in choirs for ten years and has recently expanded to solo repertoire.

Piano is Grace’s second instrument, which she started in high school. Her ultimate goal is to be an orchestra and/or choral director at the University level, but she loves working with students of any age, classroom, or lesson. Her favorite type of music is film and television score, which she plans to feature heavily in her senior recital.

Grace has been teaching private piano lessons with New England Music Lessons and is very excited to teach piano and voice lessons at Ramey Music! Grace’s primary goal while teaching is to encourage students to be excited about music, finding something they love to focus on while still learning the basic techniques, music notation, etc.

Grace’s mentors, instructors, and educators have had a major impact on her life and how passionate she is when it comes to music and she hopes to do the same for her own students.
