“My teaching philosophy centers on meeting each client where they are at regarding interest level, energy level, and mood each moment we are working together, whether in an individual, small group, or large group setting. I structure activities, have pre-organized materials, and a pleasant as well as regulated demeanor to create an environment in which we can do all, part, or none of the plan I prepared beforehand . It is important to me that each client have joy, for then the most learning/work on non-musical and musical goals can take place. I remain flexible and responsive, adapting anything needed to ensure meaningful progress and I encourage/invite my clients to maintain /gain skills in a manner that is filled with positive energy.”
