Ryan Ramey – French Horn


Ryan is the principal horn of the Boston Civic Symphony and the Concord Orchestra. He also plays with the Brockton Symphony Orchestra and has performed with numerous orchestras in both Massachusetts and California including Symphony Pro Musica, the Corona Symphony, Bellflower Symphony, Peninsula Symphony, Dana Point Symphony, San Fernando Valley Symphony, Tulare County Symphony, Culver City Symphony, Bakersfield Symphony, and the Los Angeles Valley Symphony. 

In addition to performing, Ryan enjoys passing his love of the horn on to the next generation and is the horn instructor at the Thayer Performing Arts Center in Lancaster, MA. He can often be heard also performing with the Atlantic Wind Symphony, based out of TPAC, and has been featured on various portfolio recordings for upcoming film composers..

Ryan's principal horn teachers have included Bill Lane (former principal, LA Philharmonic), John Mason (LA Philharmonic), Kavid Krehbiel (former principal, San Francisco Symphony), James Winter (former principal, Fresno Philharmonic), and David Hoover (CSU Northridge). Ryan has also had private lessons with Andrew Bain (Principal LA Philharmonic and Berlin Philharmonic), Philip Myers (principal, New York Philharmonic), Denise Tryon (Philadelphia Orchestra), and Bruce Hudson (LA Philharmonic, Minnesota Symphony).
